Introduction

Software development methods are continuously changing due to the existing business situations, increasing innovations of the technologies with increasing customer demands. However during recent years, Agile software production methods have achieved reputation and are becoming important for the software development companies. Research has also been taken to some extend in the area of Agile software progression (SERENA, 2007).

Scrum is basically an Agile software development procedure that emphasizes on the practices of project management. Scrum has achieved considerable fame in the large companies as well. For example, the scrum has been deployed by big organizations like Nokia, Yahoo, Microsoft and Intel. In the literature, the acceptance of scrum is normally situation based emphasizing on a individual team and a single project. Though in big organizations it can be opposite, with various teams in each functions maintaining several projects at the same time. It is surprise that the despite the growing fame of scrum, the methods has not been analysed in different studies. Almost less than 5% of the available evidences on Agile software development measures scrum (Kar, 2006).

Generally scrum is related rugby sports in which each player is tightly and incorporated with each other and all have the same goal and every one has his own role. In development teams, everyone should know their roles and focus on obtaining it. The whole team focus should be the same goal. The priorities and acts should be clear to everyone (Begel, et.al. 2008).

It is interesting to see that the Agile has provided that benefits to others, the amazing point is that it associates to the bottom line of the organization. In order to high the profits and revenues of the company, the higher authorities must obtain the main objectives that enable that company to have the benefits more and more. The factors may vary with respect to needs, customers, company, market competitors, and the final product (Williams, et.al, 2005).

Scrum is a framework within which people can address complicated adaptive problems, while giving and producing the products of greatest possible worth. Scrum is lightweight, easily understandable and very difficult to implement. Scrum is a process structure that is used to handle difficult product development since 1990s. Scrum is not a technique for making products, but it is a method by which we can deploy different techniques and procedures. Scrum can be framework that is used to improve (Poster & Sakry, 2009).

Scrum is described as a holistic and flexible development strategy of a product where a team works collectively to achieve a common target. The strategy was designed after the traditional sequence which was used in 1986 by Nonaka and Takeuchi Product Development Game. This approach is good not only in creating organizational knowledge but also good at promoting innovation incrementally and continuously.
