For a very long time man has been trying to fit the sense and logics of the world, the happenings around him, their validation and basis, and religion and the supreme power controlling all these phenomenon. This endeavor by the mankind gave origin to numerous beliefs, faiths and judgments, which would satisfy and render answer to their ever baffling queries and interests.
"Faith" and "reason" are the methods or approaches used in religion, and via mankind. The literal common meaning of faith entails, having complete and utter confidence in someone or something. However, the connotation employed by the religious definitions or understanding, on a broader scale employs that faith, fundamentally is a firm belief that there exists a supernatural power or powers which entirely controls the occurrences of the world, as well as the human destiny. However, reason denotes having a cogent motive for an action, conviction or belief; or the sound explanation for any natural or unnatural cause or phenomenon. Reason, most commonly is employed by the mankind, in order to affirm and endorse the beliefs and submission of the will to the supreme power, with conviction and certainty.
However, what counters this conviction, faith and belief is the advent of the technology and science in the modern world. The mentality and approach of a substantial chunk of the population has been molded, via the ever changing technology and incessantly progressing scientific endeavors. The scientific accomplishments have brought a substantial point of conflict in the cognitive approached of humans. The common question that now surrounds their minds is the level of the clash between the claims made by both the scientific approaches, as well as the religious assertions.

Thesis
Both on a personal level, and in accordance to the groundwork laid by many renowned, respectable and credible scholars, firm beliefs and impressions have been established that there exists a significant and rather substantial conflict between the religion (biblical teachings) and the advanced and progressive science, which the current modern era has been fortunate enough to witness and experience. The main theme of the thesis revolves around the substantiality of the conflict that exists between science and religion, and approaches and evidences which lead to and propagate those conflicts. The basis of the thesis will be supported and augmented with vital arguments and debates that will play a pivotal role in proving the agenda of the thesis; and rendering vital information to those cognitive minds, who incessantly strive to seek the answers of their unanswered queries in this regard. Substantial research work assists in proving the thesis that there exists a substantial conflict between religion and science.
