The company's latest models regarding the S series for example Samsung Galaxy, S3, S4 etc have been a success so far for the organization. Some of the biggest competitors of the company namely Apple Inc, Nokia and HTC have not only been facing severe competition from Samsung but they are also forced for the extreme technological advancements in order to remain in the competition.

Challenges

As the nature of the business is related to the technological advancements, and rapid change in the technology has not only made the organizations spending huge amount of investments in research and development but also they need to look for different ways in order to meet the higher spending (Samsung Mobile 2013).

Samsung is currently facing competition challenge which is very much extreme. The product lifecycle has reduced to a great level, which is why continuous developments are required. Because of the globalization, it has become very challenging for the company to cater the market. Huge advertisements are required. Another challenge that Samsung is facing is the invention in the design of its products (Gaikar, Vishal 2013). Because of the huge spending on research and developments, it has become the challenge for Samsung to cut down the cost. Although company is generating healthy cash profits but still it is a concern for the management. For the future consideration, company needs to keep developing its business and to remain ahead of its major competitors namely Apple Inc and Nokia.
