The performance of governments can be made efficient with the adoption of Lean Six Sigma in its true context. There is a need to align the activities of government with their productivity. This can only be done through the effective implementation of Lean Six Sigma (Price, Ned, Mores & Elliotte, 2011).

It is very necessary for governments to demonstrate a high degree of efficiency in their activities. The reality has been that the government of USA is characterized by a high degree of inefficiency and budgeting inaccuracy. In order to deal with these issues, government agencies need to incorporate Lean Six Sigma in order to minimize the element of waste as well as enhancing their efficiency (Maleyeff, 2013).

The concept of Lean Six Sigma is characterized by certain intricate features like increased emphasis on customer satisfaction, corporate culture of continuous improvement, comprehensive employee involvement, identification of the root causes pertaining to inefficient practices and minimization of activities that lead to waste (Price, Ned, Mores and Elliotte, 2011). Since all these factors are highly pertinent in the case of governments, the government agencies must incorporate these elements in order to eliminate inefficient practices. It is necessary for professionals to deliver pertinent training and education to the government representatives so that they can reap the benefits from these factors. The training not only takes place for the upper management but also for employees that work at the shop floor (Price, Ned, Mores and Elliotte, 2011).
