Every country or nation in the world has a basic instinct of working together and flourish and prosper as a nation. Therefore, every country set for itself certain goals to achieve. Similar, is the case with United States of America. The country although enjoys the position of being world's largest economy. The perfect law and order situation and the constitution of the country have contributed chiefly towards maintaining and restoring a stable and peaceful society. However, in order to maintain a stable and peaceful society, United States of America has set for itself a number of values. Moreover, these values should also be highlighted in Constitution of United States of America so that these values are incorporated even to the lowest possible level in the society.

Democratic Values of United States of America
Democracy in its simplest of forms can be defined as “for the people and by the people”. This represents a state where the ultimate power rests in the hands of people. The rulers of the people should be none other than the ones chose by the people. Moreover, the every step and action taken by these rulers should be only and purely be for the welfare of the common me. If a government of a country dose not qualifies for these two basic conditions, then there is no way that government is a democratic government. Therefore, to ensure the continuity of a democratic process at all times, the democrats in USA have proposed for themselves a set of six basic value that are to remember and highlighted at all times. These values include Liberty, Legal equality and equality opportunity, tolerance, respect for dissent, self-reliance and the pursuit of truth.
Liberty
The very basic right of freedom of faith, freedom of religions, freedom of speech and freedom of expression shall be granted to every single citizen of the United State of America. The importance of the concept can be signified by the fact that very first few lines in the transcript of Constitution of United States of America include an oath for securing our liberty for ourselves (www.archives.gov).
During the Constitution Convention in 1787, Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to James Madison informing him about his critiques on the constitution. The first and foremost reason of his disapproval was his party taking all the clauses of Bill of Rights that included the protection of rights of freedom of religion, speech and expression of American individuals. (www.let.rug.nl). Thomas did not agree with this idea simply because he realized the importance of all these forms of liberties in a state or a society.
Jefferson realized that constitution of any country, if in the slightest of ways supported ideas of imperialism and dictatorship, then the fate of such constitution and the prosperity of the country itself is gloomy and doubtful.
