Apart from this acquisition, human resource professionals are also responsible for grooming the existing employees of the company regarding any skills required to carry out the business. Employees are trained by the human resource department about any new system or process that is adopted by the organization. Apart from these issues that are faced by the human resource professionals within the boundaries of the organization, there are other external challenges that they must address effectively. The most prominent issue is to retain the employees in presence of the competitors in the market place. Competitors are not only a threat to the consumer base of an organization, but also to the human asset possessed by an organization. As customers can be drawn away by the competitors so can the employees be. In order to retain the employees it is immensely important that an organization takes great care of the employee's needs and requirements. As a lot of time is invested and cost incurs on hiring and training the employees, an organization must have the potential to retain them.
