Selection of Research Topic

To select the topic for research project it is very imperative that the topic should be researchable. Secondly, a researcher should select a topic that interests him most. The topic of research should be broad enough so that a researcher can obtain information about it.

Importance of the Purpose Statement

The purpose of statement provides guidance to the researcher. It provides direction to the researcher. Purpose of statement forms a framework for research and describes the limits within which a researcher is supposed to conduct the process of research.

Development of Research Questions and Hypothesis

A research question is a schematic argument which defined the destination or goal of the relevant area on which the study can be carried. The research question distinctly and clearly puts forward what the research would aim to enquire or endeavor to establish. The research question is a legitimate and unambiguous affirmation that advances from a notion that can be considered to be or conceived to be true. As the literature, review determines it to be and goes toward the factors or reasons that are undiscovered and calls for substantiation and validation (Mellenbergh, 2008).

Null and Alternative Hypothesis

Hypothesis is a prediction which can be subjected to tests and which reveals the relationship among leastways two features, two consequences, or two variables. Hypotheses routinely add up from possibilities or theories; when an experiment can be designed, a researcher encounters as much former research on the subject of study as possible. The investigator can formulate a possibility or hypothesis about the matter of study and so construct forecasting and anticipation about the discipline that the researcher plans (Hunter, 2008).
