ABSTRACT

This research paper will choose an organization of interest and present a research proposal for a piece of primary research that could be conducted into a problem the organization is having. Google Inc has been chosen to carry out the research, in order to address the problem of uncertainty that company is facing. The study will use primary research methodology in which managers of Google will be interviewed in order to understand the problem clearly and how organization deals with it.

Organizational Uncertainty

Chaotic trends have attained a unique name in the organizational domains. It has been observed that these trends constantly taking place in the organizational setting. The ever-dynamic setting of a company generates uncertainty. This can either pose opportunities or problems that a company must cope with in order to stay competitive. Change procedures instigated by different trends are continuous in nature. Managerial bodies are afraid that they cannot maintain the swiftness of change initiatives within their work-setting. However, leaders recognize the fact that continued existence of their business depends upon the capability to become accustomed to its uncertain surroundings. Complexity in the environment is the degree to which a company is related to different external drivers that a firm deals with, for example dealers, technical changes and customers varying needs. The effect of different external drivers performing all together poses uncertainty in an organizational setting. As a result, conventional patterns of directing companies may seem vain in an arena of continuous unrest, instability and uncertainty (Wheatley, 2006). Therefore, one can hypothesize that the basic organizational problem is how to deal with uncertainty in order to succeed. What does it refer to direct companies in uncertain phases?

Research Aims and Objectives

The main aim is to indicate the problem of uncertainty for companies functioning in the 21st Century. This will be carried out by taking Google as an example and inspect the problem of uncertainty within the organization. In the light of the above aim the study would validate the following objectives:

a) To assess how the problem of uncertainty has raised in the 21st century due to innovation in technology and globalization.

b) To assess the theory of chaotic management.

d) To analyse and examine the problem in Google Company.

e) To underline how Google is dealing with the problem of uncertainty.

Significance

This research will address the problem of uncertainty prevailing in the Google. It gives a thoughtful ground for positive actions in companies in the chaotic or uncertain framework.

Limitations

Isolation will be carried out to control the independent variable. External variables may affect the findings of the study.
