Organization of Repair between the English language teachers and ESL learners
Abstract
This research proposal focuses at organization of repair between the English language teachers and ESL learner organizations. Learning is enhanced when the curriculum incorporates concepts of language based on speech. To develop discourse competence among language students, foreign teachers should be familiar with some concepts used at present. This proposal discusses some of these concepts and presents various activities to explore the possibilities in the classrooms and textbooks that can contribute to our aim of repairing discursive conversation. Moreover this research proposal aims to examine the mechanism of repair that occurs in conversational speech in English.
