Oxford dictionary (2003) defines replaceas “(of an injured or sick individual) deteriorate after a period of improvement”. In other words relapse is returning to the symptoms meeting the criteria of diagnosis of substance abuse disorder. Rates of relapse among people suffering from addictive diseases are challenging to compareacross researches because of these terms definition (Simonelli, 2005; Maisto, Pollack, Cornelius, Lynch, &Martin, 2003; McKay, Franklin, Patapis, & Lynch, 2006).
