Nowadays, we are living in a diverse society where people belong to varying cultural backgrounds. Culture includes the values, behaviors and beliefs of a certain group in a society. Cultural identity can embrace socioeconomic class, ethnicity, political affiliation, race, gender, religion and nationality but not only limited to these identities (Darrington & Brower, 2012). This paper is a self-reflection of my leadership skills, which underlines the individual difference (cultural background) I came across in my relationship, as well as discusses how I use self-leadership skills to meet that challenge.
