The US is also the only Western democracy with few restrictions on access to firearms, with gun lobbyists claiming they need guns for defense against "crime", which implicitly references blacks and Latinos. The racial underpinnings of American politics also cause the majority of the public to favor law enforcement as a "solution" to crime over social support programs that would alleviate the stresses that cause much of it. The imprisonment of people has become a very lucrative enterprise. Many states have outsourced their prisoners to private prisons, which are profit- making businesses listed on the stock exchange with more than a billion dollars annual revenue (Bou, 2011). Many economically distressed countries compete, to have prisons built in their area, supply jobs and aid local businesses. They encourage politicians to stiffen sentences and even create new statutes to increase the prison population. The fact that so many policy differences between the US and the rest of the Western world link to its racial tensions commonly discussed in a nation that affects a colorblind posture to abolish or weaken positive race conscious practices by local, state or federal governments. After an accumulation of such policies, crime and race inextricably linked in the US, fueled by white fears of violent and street crime, even though race itself does not need to be explicitly mentioned in public discourse.

Politicians and the media continue to identify crimes by blacks and Latinos as disproportionately threatening to whites, profiling seems less egregious or even justified to them because it combats this "threat." In the American culture, racial stereotyping that to the criminals has always been a prominent part. It has noticed that, racial profiling and stereotypes have existed against the black Americans, and also to other minority groups such as Hispanics and Africans Americans. Civil Right movements have not contributed to much extent in providing rights to these minorities. These Civil Right movements are providing a platform to blacks and, other minorities, committing crimes and making them criminals. The stereotyping of the black population as criminals has been so intense, that they characterize as criminal predators and, this stereotyping has led to the criminal justice officials, following an erroneous and unofficial policy of racial profiling. Due to these reasons, society has considered as the place for criminal activities by blacks (Bou, 2011).

What seldom mention by politicians or the media is that violation of the law is rampant across American society. A majority of employees steal items from their employers most politicians engaged in legalized bribery by accepting campaign contributions from corporate interests, and millions indulge in illegal sexual behavior and tax evasion. Corruption is rampant in many police departments where officers overlook certain crimes, demand money from businesses for protection, and take money or drugs confiscated from criminal suspects.
