Critical Analysis Paper

Introduction

This paper examines the selected research studies and their design. These researches are critical to the understanding of the dissertation s they will determine the positive and negative aspects of the study design and analysis. The paper is about the research articles that focus on the psychology of research and the methods that can be used. The emphasis of the researches is on the way different methods are used to conduct research and how the research execution is influenced by the theoretical details and the principles of conducting the research. The critical analysis facilitates the understanding of the effectiveness of theory and practice.

Literature review

This section evaluates the selected research articles to determine their effectiveness in terms of the methodology, analysis, and compelling results.

Ellis (2008) conducted a secondary research to identify if the well articulated research is important for any valuable study. The aim of the research is to facilitate the researchers to understand the value of the problem based research by enabling the practical guide on the establishment of a well articulated research problem (Ellis, Levy, 2008, 17-33). The research hypothesizes the worthiness of a problem in the form of a deconstruction of the expression and its component terms that can support the scholarly research. The theoretical foundation is placed into practice by analyzing the problem statement and posing a template for crafting an effective statement.

Gelso (2006) carried out a research on the application of scientific theory on research. It is a descriptive research based on the literature review and analysis. When reviewing the literature we find that there are several theories that have to do with our research question, we can choose one and build on it to build the theoretical framework and the theory is broken down chronologically or-or take part in some or all theories for this purpose. In the first situation, researchers choose the theory that is evaluated more positively. For example, if we are interested in the effects of programs for adolescents with sexual content on television, we might find that there are several theories that explain the effect of watching sex on television, but only one has investigated in adolescent (Gelso,2006). Obviously this should be the theory that would select to build our framework. In the second situation, researchers would in theory only that which relates to the problem of study. In these cases it is advisable that before building the theoretical framework, make an outline of how to put together, being careful not to fall into logical contradictions (there are times that rival theories in one or more aspects in total, if we accept what he says we have to discard a theory postulating the other). When theories are excluded each other in the most important propositions (central), we must choose one. But if they differ only in minor respects, we take the central propositions that are more or less common to them all and choose the parts of each theory that are of interest and merge ...
