Project management is defined as a planned effort to achieve a particular project. It includes managing, organizing and planning that leads to accomplishment in achieving the project. Project management includes the planning of a project, identifying goals and tasks that have to be achieved (Hillson, 2009. p.70). A well planned and executed project results in the success of the company. Project management is also very valuable in accordance to time as well-organized assessment of time can be done by controlling and managing it. Project management is a broad discipline and it has immense roles and responsibilities in every field of life and in our every day basis also (Project Management Institute, 2009. p.104). Whatsoever we do it has some relationship with the project management whether it is professional or academic. Project management also gives the lesson of team building as projects which are being assigned in a team are completed through this manner.

The Managing Director has announced that the offices will be relocated to the area around Banbury, Oxfordshire in order to reduce costs. The current business objectives and the specific objectives associated with the move. These include:

Continuing to grow business income by 10% annually

Enhancing profitability partially by reducing the physical costs associated with accommodation

Retaining the business earning capacity

Improving the quality of support the office provides to the consultants and clients

Improving the IT systems for the business

Minimising the human resource costs associated with the move particularly associated with redundancy, recruitment and training
