Executive Summary

The project is regarding the new system implementation into the private hospital, because the existing system implemented into the hospital has various flaws. Therefore after reviewing the management requirements regarding the new system and the stakeholders; the RADIUS technology related system software is proposed for the private hospital which covers all the requirements for the new system. The knowledge of the project management and planning is widely used from the selection of the system and implementation of the system. PMBOK is highly important when it comes to set up the new business or initiate a change into the organisation. Various tools and techniques were implemented while planning to implement the new system into the organisation. The cost modelling along with NPV, return on investment and payback supports the implementation of the system.

Introduction

Every manger is using PMBOK, since it contains the huge information related to the project management into the organisation. This term is well used in various fields including accounting, medicine, law, etc (Eysenbach, 2000; Haux, 2006). since, setting up a new business or initiating a change management into the organisation requires huge cost. Therefore, mangers have realized the importance of project management when it comes to develop a new project. As PMBOK give skilful advice to the mangers in maintaining the project's resources, team management, scheduling task and various mandatory tasks for the project. So, in order to avoid the huge loss it better to organise the project systematically; because the project such as of hospital system replacement are huge in terms of time and money. So PMBOK covers all the tasks starting from selection of the system to the implementation, monitoring and feedback of the particular project.

Background

Since the hospital is facing multiple related to the existing system installed at hospital. Current system is outdated as it can synchronize with the needs of the all the stakeholders involved in the private hospitals including nurses, patients, mangers, physicians etc. moreover, the number of stakeholder association is greater in number thus demanding the quality services from both the sides. As the hospital is large service provider on the cost recovery basis and serving as many as 1000 indoor bed patients. So, the management has decided to introduce the new system which replace the current system which has bunch of problems related to the efficiency and management report production function.

Scope of the project

The new system will be divided into the two types of the systems, i.e. mobiles and fixed. Below will be the benefits obtained with the help of mobile and fixed system:

6000 physician, nurses, managers, external stakeholders, and other administrators are expected to use the system

Cardiology and related services

Information system to pathology system, medical imagining system, patient records, radiology system, billing system and other related functions
