Phases or the stages of any project are very important, and they have a very important role to play as far as the success or the failure of the project is concerned. If the every stage in the project management is carried out in a viable manner, there are more chances that the project will end successfully. The project manger should also be prepared to ready to face the next phase (Hristoski et al, 2012, p.3). As it will be discussed later, the larger the project, greater challenge for the managers. Emphasize should be on improving the each variable as it comes and each stage in the management should be well planned and chalked out well. We will be looking at how the much maligned and controversial Millennium Dome was carried out. There were many things that can be put together and learned from the fate of the Millennium Dome (Hristoski et al, 2012, p.3). Though we will be discussing that later on, initially there should be a lot of weight age that has to be stressed upon getting the basics right as far as a project is concerned (Newhouse, 2008, p.597). With the each corresponding phase, the project passes on to the next phase or “gate”. Much often, the term gate has been used to define the project management stages (Jones, 2001, p.197). The stages that are needed to be taken care of in project management are given as:
Phase Management
Planning
Control
Managing the team together.
Communication
Procurement
Final gate or stage which is Integration.
Phase Management
It is to have a complete understanding of the deliverables that have to be put together before moving to the next phase (Hristoski et al, 2012, p.3).
Planning
To carry out the analytical and thinking process at the initiation of the project, then to back it up with further detailed planning(Hristoski et al, 2012, p.3).
Control
It is very vital to analyze the cost constraints, the scope of the project as well as the potential risks and benefits that will be encountered (Hristoski et al, 2012, p.3).

Managing the team members who have different responsibilities as well as augmenting and monitoring the Cross Dimensional teams. (Hristoski et al, 2012, p.15)
Communication
Developing the strong communications between the board of directors, different people having stakes in the project as well as informing all the necessary third parties.
Procurement
Whether you hire a third party vendors for this service, or you are doing it on their own, the project manager has to manage the third parties who are involved in some way or another (Hristoski et al, 2012, p.15).
Integration
Different projects influence the organization in a different manner, project manager has to make sure that all the projects are seamlessly integrated into the business. (Hristoski et al, 2012, p.15).
Difference between Larger and Smaller Projects
