Scenario

Management project in conducted on Technology Associates, Inc. the project is based on the Windows XP User Upgrade in the organization. To meet the objectives of the organization it is very necessary to stay updated with the current technology. In this project desktops and laptops will be upgraded in the company.

Task 1

1.1 Management Area

In the management area it is find out that which departments needs to upgrade urgently. The first step that needs to be done is to analyze all the current computers and laptops. By doing this it will be possible to find out all the possible compatible issues and upgraded as required. For this, there is need to develop schedule. It will make sure that rollout of the PCs and windows XP is handled with as little disruption as possible to daily operations of the business. In this project all PCS will be tested before their installation to ensure there are no application problems. In order to have minimum impact on the employees, post delivery system support will be included for both areas PCS and applications. This will be done with the help of online tutorials, manuals available for the users and full facilities of the staffed help desk (Cleland &, Roland, 2006, 1)

Scope of the Project

The project of upgrading windows user XP is an internal project of the company which will be handled by the CIO of the organization. The project sponsor will be the program manager of Technology Associates, Inc. meetings will be held for the managers and leaders of the company for the discussions on this project. These meetings are very important to understand the requirements, document the requirements and ascertain how activities and deliveries will be done for the project (Lock, 2007, 200)

The requirements of the scope of the project are to identify the following item:

Check the inventory of the PC

Do the application analysis

Environmental testing

Application remediation

Education of users

Purchase of hardware and

Purchase of software

1.3 Justification of Aims and Objectives

In order to justify the aims and objectives of the project all the reasons are as follows:

Upgrading the technologies is very important now days to cope up with the business environment of today's world. Many company faces security issues in their computer systems. In order to make their information systems safe they have to increase the security of their information systems. In older PCs the security of the systems are not high due to which companies have to face huge risk and threats (Lewis, 2006, 110)
