Introduction

SDLC (Systems development life cycle) is used in information systems, systems engineering and software engineering. SDLC is sometimes referred to as Application development life cycle. SDLC is a methodology which is used to alter and create different types of information systems, methodologies and models that are used by different organizations and individuals to develop their systems. SDLC is also responsible for providing agenda testing, planning and creating information systems. SDLC is also used for the development process of various Hardware and Software life cycles. SDLC not only caters to software and hardware life cycles but also to a combination to both systems. SDLC comprises of clearly stated and discrete work phases which are used to develop different times of information systems. Through the use of SDLC high quality systems are made to meet the expectations of the customers. These information systems are programmed to move through every phases, within the time frame allocated and the costs highlighted (Mks, 2013).

The process by which the information systems are developed is called, SAD (Systems Analysis and Design). The information systems are developed by the use of different software's, hardware, data, processes and by the individuals involved in the process. SAD sets the stage and bounds the problem, this is the reason it is often called as a, meta-development activity. SAD balances the disparities between the non-functional and functional analysis domains. SAD is based on the notion of interfaces, partitioning, roles and operation modeling at a professional level of system description. This way with the use of SAD and SDLC a full life cycle product and system planning is made efficient (Slideshare, 2013).

XYZ Inc is an IT company which provides different services, ranging from installation, up gradation and purchases of different types of Hardware and Software products. In this project, we will concentrate on projects related to software up gradation which the company provides to its esteemed customers, which are individuals, as well as different organizations.

Use of SDLC by XYZ Inc.

The SDLC requires different levels through which the information systems can be made more efficient.

Phase 1

The first phase is the preliminary analysis. This phase involves the analysis of the company's products in relation to that particular company's objective and scope. Different possible solutions are also referred in this phases so that the company is able to earn higher levels of gains (Shah, 2008). The objective of XYZ Inc is to provide it's customers with the best possible and user friendly software products. The problem that the company is facing is that the company is known to produce state of the art software's, but the individuals are finding it very hard to adjust and work with these types of software's. Whereas the corporate professional customers are finding these types of software's as very helpful. XYZ Inc can eliminate the problem by making user friendly and a less complicated product for the individual users.
