Some common form of sports goods that REI offers to its customer include gloves, cycles, snowboards, camping and hiking equipments. REI focuses to provide quality products to its customer at affordable prices thus for this purpose this company has distributed all of its sports products on geographical and demographic segmentations. Secondly, REI have set the prices of all its products after analyzing the financial capabilities of the segmented areas.

Being an Online retail store company the company for appropriate marketing of its products uses online marketing sources for instance social networking sites, and all other forms of E-marketing. In addition to this, ERI provides several discount offers to its customer on purchase of limited amount of product and on seasonal events (Fickes, 2001).

The sports authority Inc is one of the biggest competitors of REI Inc that is famous for selling all kinds of sports products at affordable price. Like REI sports category of this company product line comprises of numerous products for instance from cricket kit, soccer, nets, badminton, ice skating instrument and others. In addition to this, this company is also known as leading sports distributor of United States that has its outlets in more than 45 states and its large customer base is attached to its website that is being operated from top quality network companies (Fickes, 2001).

Further, this company aims to provide customer quality and reliable sports product at affordable price and for that, it has used demographic, geographic, and behavioral market segmentation techniques to market its product. At Sports Authority Inc an individual can find sports product of different varieties and of different prices, further customer is awarded with numerous discount benefits that keeps on changing according to the season or need of time.
