Introduction

Information security management standards are most commonly used standards; they are very popular, widely used and are very important for the well being of any organization. They include many standards out of which four standards are discussed in detail which include BS ISO/IEC 17799:2000; this standard mainly focus on the training of the user, GAISP; this standard focuses on administrator security controls, SSE-CMM (2003); it focuses on ethical practices and fourth is the standard of good practice for information security.
