Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to act as the department manager and apply the ethical and moral decisions on one of the employers Deanna who takes anti-inflammatory drugs home her personal use. The paper discusses different ethical and moral decisions on the availability of health care facility, and procedures and protocols about the handling, storing and monitoring of drugs.

Procedures and Protocols about Handling, Storing, and Monitoring Of Drugs

There are some procedures regarding the handling, storing and monitoring of drugs. According to these procedures, anybody who keeps the drug, store and monitors it has to follow the necessary procedures about handling drugs. The department of community health has set some procedures for the storage and handling of drugs. These procedures are applicable on pharmacists and the employers too (Anglin, 2008). Therefore, these procedures have their implications on Deanna who takes anti-inflammatory drugs home her personal use. According to these procedures, it is necessary to store all these drugs in a designated area. The area should provide proper sanitation facility, moisture control, temperature, security, ventilation, light and temperature. The inflammatory drugs should be kept in the refrigerator which is specially designed for the drugs usage. The drugs should be kept in a protected area. In case, any person takes out the drugs for personal use from the inventory, that person becomes in charge of these drugs. It is the person's liability to follow all these procedures of handling, storing and monitoring drugs.
