There is the increase in demand of nurses; unfortunately, we are unable to meet the current demand. Moreover, in future the same demands are expected to be increased gradually. This paper will examine the issues regarding nursing profession, along with the issues which leaders and manager have to be dealt with. The leadership styles which can be helpful for the betterment of the nursing profession have been discussed below.

This is neither the first time nor the last, that the issue of shortage of nursing in our country. This is a problem that affects the health systems of most of the other countries'. However, while other countries are being taken human resource policies that allows mitigating the short and long term consequences of this deficiency. Health representatives are unable to settle down the definitively drama that represents the nursing shortage and its negative influence on both the quality of care as health professionals (Allen, 2008). This situation is placing the health system in a situation of risk and insecurity; it is an alarming condition which affecting the quality of health care and the deterioration of health professionals that is negatively influenced one of the main pillars of Welfare State, defender of social consistency.

In the context of a current shortage of nursing and its turnover, that is crucial for any hospital to maximize the satisfaction of nurses and their involvement in the organization, in order to maintain their membership in the hospital and provide care that meets the quality requirements while ensuring patient satisfaction. Nursing innovative and dynamic leadership can cause profound changes on attitudes and core values of nurses would get these results. The current hospital setting is marked by a shortage of nurses that are increasingly worried condition, young embarking on the training market are not interested in the nursing profession, the young graduates to start practice that is really slow and more experienced nurses testify faster a deep weariness with regard to working conditions, which leads them to reduce their working time to seek new employment conditions or leave the profession altogether (Salanova et.al, 2011).

The tension caused by heavy loads, the low professional status, rotating work schedules and various risks inherent in the nature of the activity certainly affect the health and motivation of nurses. The low social value given to the nursing profession, which is reflected in particular by the lack of career plan and strategy training, also contributes to the difficulty of recruiting.
