Police Department

Introduction

The Townsville police department are moving to a new headquarters building. They have come to us to give them our recommendations for setting up there computer network, telephone system and two-way voice communications. The Townsville police department covers an area of 100 square kilometres.

The chief constable is responsible for the policing of the area; he is assisted by an assistant chief constable. Townsville is divided into four districts (Northern, Eastern, Western, Southern) for each district; there is a district commander who is assisted by a deputy district commander. They are responsible for the policing in each district. Every district has three sergeants and twenty four constables to it; each district also has five police cars for patrolling the area and responding to incidents.

Each district has its own large office within the headquarters building. Each of these offices will need to have a workstation for the district commander and the deputy district commander. The sergeants in each district will have one work station between them and there will be five workstations for use by the constables in each district.

The Townsville Police Department also has a serious crimes squad headed by a detective chief inspector who is assisted by a detective inspector. The squad is made up of twenty detectives; the squad has eight cars and an office within the headquarters building. It requires a workstation for each member of staff.

The Police Department also employ twenty civilian staff members; they are responsible for general administration work including operating the telephone system and general administration duties. The civilians are in a separate office from the police staff and their office includes the headquarters reception area.

This article describes distinct mesh scenarios. You may use these scenarios as demonstrations for setting up your wireless network. Wireless systems normally request to inside mesh environments that need connectivity for apparatus roaming all through the mesh environment. Wireless systems are wireless systems that service wireless devices. The wireless apparatus may roam without coercion all through the mesh, with the only limits being the dimensions and twisted cords of wireless device.

TASK 1

In computer networking, topology refers to the layout of connected devices. This article introduces the standard topologies of networking.

A) Different Network Topologies

Topology in Network Design

Think of a topology as a network's virtual shape or structure. This shape does not necessarily correspond to the actual physical layout of the devices on the network. For example, the computers on a home LAN may be arranged in a circle in a family room, but it would be highly unlikely to find a ...
