Phoenix Zoo

A large park on Dublin's north side, formed as a deer park in 1662. The park includes Dublin's zoo and Áras an Uachta-ráin (Irish, 'the abode of the president'), a building dating from 1751 and enlarged after 1782, when it became the residence of the lord lieutenants; after the foundation of the Irish Free State it became the residence of the governor-general (and was nicknamed Uncle Tim's Cabin, after the first governor-general, Tim Healy); it is now the residence of the Irish president-hence the expression going for the Park, meaning putting oneself forward as a candidate for the presidency.

A day at the Phoenix Zoo (Phoenix Zoo) is not only an experience which mixes entertainment and fun is a day to share with family and infuse firsthand children and strengthen community-wide making awareness that the environment we live in does not belong only to humans, but what we share with other living things and therefore to be part of this chain us to do our part and live in harmony (Grand, 96).

With exhibitions and activities that promote the welfare of the natural world, the Phoenix Zoo shows not only the animals in their habitat as an attraction, but its primary mission is the conservation of these species, with a view to future generations can also enjoy them. As an oasis of natural peace, this world-class zoological institution opens the visitor a wealth of 125 acres of land located in Papago Park, breaking the city environment close to downtown Phoenix and immersing the audience in a different day, transforming the landscape into a desert landscape surrounded by animals from around the globe, but also lakes, lush vegetation and lots of fun.

The Phoenix Zoo entertainment goes hand in hand with conservation, respect for animal life and education. Since opening its doors in 1962 until today, the Phoenix Zoo has become a sanctuary for conservation as dreamed its visionary founder, Robert Maytag, from one of the pioneer families in the Valley of the Sun (Hereford, 105-112).

Over 1300 animals divided habitats located in different paths and tracks like "The Arizona Trail", with the fauna and flora typical of the American Southwest, "The African Trail," " The Children's Trail ", which includes a petting zoo, offer visitors a place of recreation, but also single contact with nature, this being the Zoo nonprofit largest in the U.S., which is not funded by example of the city of Phoenix and whose means of support is through its members, visitors and donors.

Currently the Phoenix Zoo is developing a campaign pursued by making it a world-class institution that continues to attract visitors from different latitudes and locals who always have something new to discover and opening of the exhibit next to the orangutans, " Horang - Hutan: People of the Forest ", which will be open to the public on April 11, becoming the largest exhibition since the Zoo opened its doors in 1962.
