Parmenides was an ancient philosopher who was born in the Greek city of Elea on the southern coast of Italy. Having founded the Eleatic school of philosophy, Parmenides' extensive works mainly revolves around the concepts of nature and human existence and human perceptions (Heidegger, 1998).
