Introduction

The purpose of following paper is to present readers an idea about an in depth analysis of personality development. Therefore, in this regard, the personality selected to analyze is Warren Buffett. Thus, his personality analyzed through different theories and approaches. For instance, after giving a summary of Buffett life experiences, his personality studied through different psychoanalytic and neoanalytic theories, psychosocial theories, and cognitive, behavioral and social learning theories and at last analyzed on humanistic theories.

The conclusion of the paper is based on the specific methods of personality assessment and also highlighted the information that gained through using those tools.

Personality Overview

Warren Buffett is the second richest man in the world, surpassed only by his good friend Bill Gates. His wealth has been constituted through their investments in stock; all channeled through the company Berkshire Hathaway. Its principal investments focused on companies with established businesses such as American Express, Walt Disney, Coca Cola and Gillette. His way of investing is based on the search business with high potential for appreciation and has a good management team (Biography, 2013). From this point of view, Warren Buffett could be considered as a manager of managers rather than a stock analyst; much less should be considered a fundamental analyst, as some claim.

Warren Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on August 30, 1930, where he lives and works today. Despite his advanced age and his immense fortune, he still continues to work actively. It is known as "The Oracle of Omaha" for his ability to get into business going up through the roof. Since childhood he knew what he wanted. With only 16 years, and along with another fellow of the Institute, founded the Wilson Coin-Operated Machine Company which based its business on repairing pinball machines and then install them in various establishments. The first purchase was made for $ 25 and after installing the machine that night and had raised $4 and that was the beginning of his meteoric career as an entrepreneur. With the money generated from this business he bought a farm in Nebraska for $1,200. Also engaged in collecting and reselling golf balls and delivering newspapers, which reported a total of $9,000 paid to his studies at the University of Nebraska.

His father was a Republican Congressman for legislatures and then forms a brokerage firm in which Warren Buffett working for some years. The integrity and uprightness of Warren come from the education received, what is not known is where comes the desire to amass millions because his father never showed a particular interest in becoming a millionaire (Hagstrom, n.d.). When congressional salaries increased from $ 10,000 to 12,500, rejected the increase and did not understand the passion of his son, who wanted to see become a clergyman.
