Abstract

I have always been fond of reading particularly news papers and romance novels. I have always like reading since my first grade. Studying never been easier but I always find a way to enjoy school. I could not recall with whom I had unpleasant associations. In fact, I would always succeed working out a good relation with all my teachers.

Personal Experience

All people have lived their lives, which are special, in its unique way which later called life experiences. These experiences are an important source of reflection on one's life and how he/she perceives it. As one author said, “A moment's insight is sometimes worth a life's experience”.

Even since, I can remember, I have always enjoyed reading. I could not remember how my love for reading originated. In my view, the starting point and biggest factor was my father who used to advise me constantly to read newspapers in order to remain updated on the current developments on social, economic and political situations of the contemporary world. He used to tell me that the contemporary world is moving at the fastest pace ever in the history of civilization, and the only way to keep up with its speed is Newspaper which encompasses everything. Through the newspaper column, once I got to know about a bestselling novel in which love was the central motif. Coincidently, later on, I found some friends who were also reading the same novel. On that day, I borrowed a first love novel from my friend, which became my habit later on.

Since childhood, we were not allowed to watch a lot of TV, so reading became my source of entertainment. During summer time, my mother used to allow only a little time within the house since she believed that fresh air is good for kid's health. While my siblings played with toys and ran around with pets, I used to read novels outside the house under a shady tree. I remembered that my mother used to lay down a blanket under the tree, where we used to have eatables, after we were finished what we were doing. My memories of open sky reading during summers are images of magnificent sun rays, cool lemonade, warm blankets, and my mother with whom I developed close intimacy.
