1. Create a job description for a retail sales associate. Create an organizational behavior modification (OBM) plan to define a set of three (3) key behaviors that are necessary for job performance.

The job description for the retail sales associate is as follows. Since the job opening is for the person who excels in selling the clothing line, shoes, handbags, linens etc, the description may include the following:

The person should have the prior experience in the retail outlets, and should excel in his tenure in sales.

The qualities that should be present in a Sales person are as follows, the person, should be driven towards the aim of the task that he/she has to complete, secondly the person should possess the level of confidence, and should believe in his own self in order to handle the rejections.

The person should be very outgoing, and should projects the impression, and social interactions towards the customers, and the manager.

The person should be assertive in a manner that he/she must be able to keep the control with himself, and should be easily be caved in the most important quality of the sales person is to be funny by nature, this skill is very important in order to engage the customer in an emotional conversation, and provide the satisfaction that the customer eventually buys the product.

The person should be a good team member, and should have the skills to manage the team as well, because in the long run the person might be quality to become a team leader, or the sales manager.

The person should be goal oriented, and should be able to work in a flexible retail schedule.
