Introduction

Foster & Mistry (2010, pp. 3-4) explains that Osteomyelitis is a process in which an infection is caused which further leads to bone destruction. Osteomyelitis can be acute or chronic. It can exist both in children and adults. During Osteomyelitis, the bone does not get the required blood, so it gets infected. The infection thus spreads to the other near parts of the body and damages other tissues.
