Q1. What roles do you think perception and communication have in the above case? Consider mostly the 3 principal actors Jones, Smith and Ray.

Role of Perception in the case

Looking at the case, perception played an important role. It has been noticed that from the start to end there are different perceptions created about different persons. The focus is on three principal actors which are Mr. Jones, Mr. Smith and Ray. Ray is a newly hired auditor trainee who is supposes to follow all the procedures of organizational communication but he somehow violated the procedures and as a result he faced harsh response from Mr. Smith fed by Mr. Jones. Perception may be a methodology by that persons organize and interpret their sensory thought to grant intending to their surroundings. The perception plays an awfully necessary role in organization. In organizations individuals' actions area unit supported their perception of what truth is, not on the reality itself. Their call may be biased or may be taken stressed. For example, Assessment of worker's effort may be a judgment subject to sensory activity bias.

In the case perception affects things we tend to expertise in our daily lives too therefore after all it's a sway on the structure method too. Perception is essentially what we predict of one thing, someone, a state of affairs etc. Our thinking may be our own or it would be the results of what some other person thinks of a specific state of affairs. The reason perception affects the structure method is as a result of if the staff cannot understand the goal or the aim of the organization properly then they won't be operating towards it either and if they're not operating towards it then that organization faces a niche between what's needed of the individuals and what's truly being done (ROBBINS, 2001).

Just Like the case, Change process often happens in organizations. If suppose that method is being enforced then it's important for the staff to grasp what the organization goes to travel through and what's attending to happen once the method. If their perception is not clear regarding it then they could resist the amendment plenty that is not smart for the corporate.
