Introduction

This assignment discusses about a personal reflection related to a day spent in the life of a person with an obsessive compulsive related disorder of Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD). The main aim behind this personal reflection is to put oneself in the place of the person suffering from this ailment, in order to better understand this disorder and the impact it has over their lives. This is discussed through different aspects in the following section.

Discussion

This section of the paper discusses about OPCD through different facets such as by highlighting the activities of a day spent in real life of the writer. This is followed by a brief discussion about OPCD, which is further understood from the perspective of how the day of an individual suffering from OPCD goes by in comparison to the typical day activities highlighted before. The latter discussion would also include how the parental responsibilities are impacted of the patient with OPCD.

Typical Day Spent in Real Life

The usual activities of an ordinary day consist of waking up sharply at nine in the morning. Then going to the bathroom to take a bath and get ready for the different activities of the day. After getting dressed I prepare breakfast for myself and read the morning paper. From noon to three in the afternoon, I am occupied with different cleaning chores around the house as well as preparing for lunch and dinner. Usually, around four in the afternoon I run out-of-house errands and I am typically back within an hour or two the most.
