One of the major issues faced by many countries like United States, Ireland, Netherlands, Philippines and United Kingdome is that they are losing many skilled nurses. The government via Health Department is raising hands in helplessness. They are not offering any strategic solution and the health crises are plaguing in these countries. There is a huge shortage for nurses in these countries and to fulfill the shortage of nursing even doctors are enrolling in nursing schools (www.rcn.org.uk).

The need for the nurses will be for long term and it can be said it will be for 10 to 15 years. The need of nursing in United States in around 110,000 in a year and in other countries 50,000 nurses is required in a year. The reason behind the increase in the demand for nurses is that the developed countries are having longer lifespan and the population is graying. The graying population faces many health issues because of their age factor. They face increasing pressure on their health (www.rcn.org.uk).

The number of graying population facing health issues are increasing at a great speed. Another reason is that young generations in these countries are not interested in nursing profession any more. The reason behind not taking interest in nursing profession is because of difficult and risky working conditions. They have to give evening duties and they even have to deal with HIV patients. The developing countries are demanded foreign nurses to fulfill their demands for nurses (www.nysna.org).

This paper focuses on the salary problems faced by the Philippines nurses as compared to the nurses of northern areas. In northern areas, nurses are pay salary of 3000 to 4,000 US dollars and on the other hand the nurses of Philippines are getting paid at 150-250 US dollars per month. The gap in ...
