Nordstrom classified as a retailer which provides superior services to its customers, and have been in the market for the past 100 years. They believe in retaining the customer's satisfaction and retention, and for this, they can go up to any extent. This strategy worked for business, and they became one of the best retailers in the US (Jeff, 2010). Customers of Nordstrom are so much satisfied that they spread the positive word of mouth about the company, which is saving handsome amount of money that could have been used for traditional advertisement. Consequently, Nordstrom's customers are making more customers for them.

If we compare Nordstrom with its competitors they believe in customer satisfaction, and to maintain long term relationship with their customers by providing long term quality services after sale. The price they charge from their customers is fully justified, as they provide expert services to their customers. Moreover, believing in this strategy they do not reduce their prices even through sales or promotion. The result of this strategy is very successful, as sales are increasing year by year. Other players in the market also footprints of Nordstrom, and try to maintain long term relationship with their customers; also they want to expand more and more in order to tap more and more customers. So these are some characteristics that Nordstrom follows.Question No.2
