Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “An image can say more than type ever could” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “power of non verbal communication” and its relation with “how image has more power than words”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “lasting impact of image in the memory” and tries to gauge its impacts. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for making an image as a lasting object to remember.

Chapter 1: Introduction

Background of the study

The variety of new technologies that make it easy to gather and manipulate pictures, photos, and video in addition to providing a context for using these resources effectively to enhance the quality and potential impact of an evaluation. Technologies discussed and demonstrated will include: digital photography (web cams/ and phone cams, photo manipulation software), digital video (DVD burners and cross-platform non-linear editing tools), image scanning and image manipulation software. Historical Context: Humans are very skilled at interpreting messages from pictures. Long before civilizations had systems for writing, messages were communicated with drawings. Written communication systems rely on symbols—communications systems are often biased and political.

Research Aims and Objectives

The aim of this study is to evaluate the factors surrounding the topic, 'image can say more than type' and explore the effects they have on the population in today's society worldwide. And also defines how the society is responding towards the changing coming in the interpreting the non verbal gestures. Furthermore, assess the developing ideas and suggestions been generated for non verbal communication in the future, exemplifying incessant research been linked with the development of learning of nonverbal communication.

Chapter 2: Literature Review

Introduction

Pictures allow us to communicate messages with less bias and politics. Images do what words cannot: they show us the way things are at a particular point in time. Several educational researchers have included the use of images (e.g. film, video, photos, drawings, etc) to enhance their understanding of a particular situation or event. This presentation will call on literature related to image-based research, visual analysis and other qualitative evaluation methods that encourage the use of pictures, photographs and video. The specific importance of this presentation is the fact that it will demonstrate use of new technologies that enable evaluators to gather and use image-based data more efficiently and effectively.
