Introduction

A mutual fund is tool of investment that is formed by accumulating a pool of money from a wide range of investors and the accumulated sum of money is then invested in a diversified range of securities and different mix of assets classes such as stocks, equity, bonds, and short term money market securities. All of these asset classes are regulated by Security Exchange Commission of USA. A fund manager or mutual fund company is usually hired to manage the pool of investments i.e. they buy and sell securities on behalf on investors.
