Introduction

The play “much ado about nothing” is one of the best comedies written by William Shakespeare and it consists of elements of robust hilarity. The play also contains some serious meditations on shame, honor and the politics of court. The play “much ado about nothing” was written long before in the year 1599, when William Shakespeare was reaching the middle age of his career. The play “much ado about nothing” contains some dark concerns, but it is considered as a joyful comedy which ends with multiple marriages and no deaths.

The tragedy and crisis on which the story “much ado about nothing” is based irritates many people in the audience and viewers, as the play creates and develops emotions like anger, betrayal and hatred among the characters in the play. Even though the crisis and hatred ends, the play was only few steps away from being a tragic play.

Discussion

The story begins with Leonato, a nobleman, lives with his daughter, hero and his joyful niece, Beatrice and elder brother, Antonio. Leonato invites his friends which have arrived back from war. His friends include Don Pedro, Claudio and Benedick. Don Pedro brother Don John is also a part of the party who is bitter and creates difficulties for others (Crushman, 2012)

When friend arrive at Leonato home, Claudia immediately falls in love with Leonato daughter hero. On the other hand, Benedict and Beatrice talk about their past insults regarding war. Claudia and hero express their true feelings of love to each other and they decide to marry each other. Moreover Claudia and hero also try to convince Beatrice and Benedick to fall in love with each other and realize the true emotions with each other.
