Introduction

Mountain Bank is situated in the northwest of the United States. There are four key and major areas in which Mountain Bank is doing business: They include retail estate and mortgage banking, corporate banking, consumer lending and retail banking. Though Mountain Bank has failed to capture the market in the above mentioned areas, still it is trying to come up with a number of strategies so that it can compete in the market. The problem with Mountain Bank is that its real estate & mortgage banking occupies less than 10% of the market. Secondly, Mountain Bank has failed to capture the corporate market in an effective way as they have only about 5% of the market at present.

In this paper, focus will be on creating a competitive human resource strategy for Mountain Bank, which will inevitably build up their ranking in those areas where they are under rated. By using different strategies and models such as the commitment strategy and universalistic approach, we will try to recommend numerous human resources practices, which will be valuable to their tellers. In this paper we will also discuss the four human resource strategies, which can be implemented at Mountain Bank so that the bank can obtain actual results.
