The quote by Theodore Roosevelt lays out the importance of job satisfaction and motivation at work place. Motivation is the driving force behind every action. Human beings perform various tasks, but there is a driving force behind every task they perform. They should be motivated in order to perform their task in the best possible manner. Motivation plays a prominent role in outstanding performance. The motivation to act as a force driving the human behavior is an important element in any sphere of life, but has a special value in the work as it is in this activity that occupies much of our existence. This, employees need to be motivated so they do not feel alienated and oppressive by their work and feel they are not been valued.

Job satisfaction paves way for increased motivation which is the driver for the attainment of the goals. It can be intrinsic and extrinsic. Motivation may be required to fulfill specific basic needs, to increase pleasure, to attain desired objectives or it can be related to less-apparent reasons such as selfishness or mortality. Motivation consists of those factors that may cause, sustain and direct behavior toward a goal. It is the attitude of the worker against his own work; this attitude is based on the beliefs and values ??that the worker develops his own work. Attitudes are determined jointly by the current characteristics of the post as the perceptions of the worker of what "should be". Generally, three kinds of characteristics that affect employee perceptions of "ought" (what you want an employee from his position) are:
