Introduction

Nursing and the infantry proceed back to the dawn of civilization. As shortly as society recognized that battlers battle harder and better if they know they will receive medical care, nursing and infantry surgery have marched to war with soldiers.

Nurses in uniform are actually a relatively new concept in the U.S. military. Prior to 1901 infantry nursing was all citizens or contract doctors who served as volunteers or as paid citizen employees. Nurses became a permanent part of the military in 1901 when the U.S. Army began appointing civilian nurses into the armed detachment doctor Corps. The Navy pursued by creating the Navy doctor Corp in 1908. The U.S. Air Force did not live former to 1947. Prior to 1947 the Air Force was a department of the U.S. Army. The Air Force doctor Corps came into reality at that time.

An infantry nurse can assist in a kind of roles. They nurse fighters, boat crew, marines and airmen back to health in marquees, ahead surgical groups, clinic ships, as air travel nurses, and in repaired facilities or hospitals. They work in clinics, intensive care units, functioning rooms, case administration, and community wellbeing and even as immunization officers. They work as doctor practitioners, educators, administrators and informatics specialists (D'Antonio, 2010).
