Introduction:

Since 1975, Microsoft mission was to create software for personal computers, which improves the lives and treatment of people in the workplace, at school and at home. This was done through the provision of products for client-server environments, business and consumer applications, performance, interactive media programs, and Internet platform and development tools. Nevertheless, market trends have led companies are beginning to look for new businesses, and constructive changes in their company's development (Rohm Mary 2010). This year alone, Microsoft has spent its reengineering phases for a game console that could compete in the video game industry a step forward in eradicating basic idea that Microsoft is a company engaged in only the software industry (Jackson Judge 2009).

Despite the rapid adoption of Microsoft technologies within the enterprise, there are real concerns about the direction the company will take in the future. The company clearly faces stiff competition on several fronts, in business-critical environments. In addition, legal issues and software delays and technical limitations, some of the key proposals for Microsoft, raised doubts about the long-term success of the company.

Microsoft is very well known for its brand name, which became a household name and business terminology for almost all of the remote computer software based. Around the world, many products and services, named after Microsoft (Jackson Judge 2009). Microsoft offers a wide range of products, which shows interesting features that are included in the software, such as: access to information, ideas, entertainment, software development tools, and connections between people and countries (Rohm Mary 2010). Microsoft software has become an integral part of the lifestyle, work, live, learn, communicate and today. At the stroke of their vision and goals the company strives to organize a lot of their software with a dedication to producing quality products built on the belief that it will be empowering tool that helps people improve their lives.

Production and maintenance

Microsoft contracts most of its manufacturing activities to third parties. Outside manufacturers produce various retail packaged software products and hardware (Jackson Judge 2009). There are other custom manufacturers Microsoft could use in the production of external events becomes unavailable from current vendors. Their product number CD-ROM production are located in Puerto Rico, and they have several sources of raw materials and components.
