Although technology is still growing, the sales of computers have witnessed a slowdown last year. Due to this, Microsoft's profit has witnessed a decline. Last year Microsoft's net income was only $4.97 billion. It is much lower compared to $6 billion it earned a year before. In order to increase its sales it has to slash down the prices of some of its products resulting in the prices of its shares going down.
