Smooth Electronics Inc. has decided to launch massive production of holographic drive. The product is given the name, “HOLD” to highlight its capacity of “holding” a large amount of data in an efficient way. The project Hold is going through the testing phase; the R&D department is conducting quality testing procedures. The main purpose of this testing is to examine whether the product is capable of delivering the expected functionalities or not. Moreover, the selection of medium (photopolymer) has been researched. Smooth Electronics have planned to launch a massive marketing campaign after the completion of testing procedures. The company is determined to capture large segments of the market. Currently, Smooth Electronics & Holostealers are two of the few companies dedicating a major portion of their investment towards holographic drive. In today's world, Internet is the largest source of data. The World Wide Web presents multiple tools that facilitate data collection process. Push & Pull method refers to obtaining or distributing information on the internet. A 'pull' method is used to obtain data for a use. On the other hand, push methods (automatically) informs or supply new data available. To accomplish our purpose, pull VS pull method has major significance. Information is pulled from internet by using browsers such as IE, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome etc.
The process will use credible resources and benefit Smooth Electronics in decision making. The purpose of this task is to determine competitive edge for Smooth Electronics.

Background
The project HOLD
Holographic Drive is a recent addition to data storage devices. The purpose of a holographic drive is similar to DVD, CD or Blu-ray discs. These drives have a different mechanism for storing data. The drives use the principles of holography to store data. The holography principles allow high data capacity for Holographic Drives. Other drives store data on the surface of the disc while a holographic drive accommodates data in itself. It is subjected to light interference pattern that is created by two beams of light within the drive. A typical holographic drive is made from photopolymer material. The technology world was introduced to holographic drive concept in the year 2005 (Savioz, 2004). It is a WORM (Write Once read Many) storage device. The drive is capable of offering up to 1.6TBGB and 120MB/s of transfer rate that account for 3rd generation of WORM. It stores 3D images representing the data. These specifications can lead the world to a new dimension of data storage techniques (www.ieee.org).
Working Principle
For storing data, the drive utilizes two laser beams. One serves as a reference beam & the other serves as a signal beam. The data (that is being written) modulates the signal beam. The reference beam illuminates the target area and keeps track of it. For reading the data, the reference beam points to the location and creates hologram ...
