This chapter will focus on the proposed research strategy and methods which will enable the researcher to collect the data for drawing the conclusions. The researcher is adopting one method which is quantitative research methodology. Methodology is basically a term which consists of methods and principles on which a study is conducted. An effective research methodology can make the research meaningful and purposive for the researcher.
Study Design
This study will use quantitative research method to discover relationship between the selected disease and risk factor. The research will be conducted as an exploratory field study. This study can be described as a field study because the researcher would interact with research participants in an actual setting. It is exploratory in the sense that the purpose was to develop an empirical understanding of the phenomenon. The methodological approach of this study will help the researcher to develop the research material, evaluate and analyze the theories and give a new and better direction to the research study remaining into the purposeful context.
Sampling Method
The sampling method of the research study will be chosen to be random sampling. The selection of sample is focused on patients and healthcare providers because they are people who have knowledge of cause-effect of the practices in the hospitals and their impacts on the condition of the patients. The sample selected for the research is based on the secondary data from the year 2010 to 2013. The research involves 271 observant which is also considered as the sample size of the research. The sample includes the patients and healthcare providers of various hospitals in the region. The consent of the participants will be the priority for the research. For the convenience of the participants, we have chosen to email the questionnaire to the desired participants as a medium for conducting the survey which seems to be feasible for both participants and the survey conductor.
Data Collection Method
The data collection technique for this study will be quantitative and secondary data collection. Secondary research is involved in gathering the information that relates to the understanding of the subject and the core concept of the study. In order to execute the literature review the secondary data will be collected from various multiple sources. This will aid in the formulation of literature review. These multiple sources will include academic journals, books, magazines, government publications, trade publications and other authentic internet based press releases. In ...
