Introduction

In the 21st century there is little that people usually know about female sexual desire. The specialists know that the female libido changes throughout the menstrual cycle, and other aspects of women's lives such as energy levels and emotions.

The Relationship between the Menstrual Cycle and Sexual Desire

According to the Evolutionary biologist the rule is that female sexual desire reaches its peak in the middle of the menstrual cycle and premenstrual cycle (before bleeding). Both types of sexual experiences are different and are closely linked to hormones.

In half of the menstrual cycle, hormones are responsible for female desire called testosterone and estrogen. Usually testosterones are associated with male aggression and lust, and are also produced by women, but comparatively at a much lower level. While they have one tenth of what men have, testosterones plays an important role in many aspects of psychology and quality of life of women, including libido and sexual satisfaction.

The importance of testosterone is significant because sex circuits in the brain are active. On the other hand, Estrogen helps to increase senses such as vision and smell. These two hormones, it seems, are combined in the peak half menstrual cycle with a good effect. Estrogen helps women to measure the sexual situation and she will use all her senses to evaluate whether sex is advisable at any particular moment.

This feature was genetically marked thousands of years ago when there were dangers in prehistory. Although today there are minor "dangers", such as availability of your partner or if the children can get to wake up, and so on exclaimed by Evolutionary biologist. Apart from the menstrual cycle, many women may experience a drop in sexual desire or satisfaction at some point in their lives. There are many factors that can cause this, such as stress or depression, childbirth, menopause, or some hormonal problem.
