New media is what many of us relish using every day, as shortly as we log up on the Internet. It is digital and allows for unlimited numbers of people to communicate with unlimited numbers of other people! This is what makes new media so powerful and so important - it expands your reach as a business owner to the world, and allows other people to become “fellow marketers” through social media networking tools. (Elliot, 2004, pp. 17) Traditional media are limited to an approach in which one individual or entity can broadcast with numerous people. For example, a publicity campaign in a media can be dispatched by your enterprise and will be glimpsed by perhaps thousands of people. But this approach does not allow publicity to communicate with your enterprise, or effortlessly disperse the information. This is one of the big drawbacks to traditional media. Price is another area in which new media trumps traditional media nearly every time. New media can be as cheap as a free blog, where you can advertise your services and goods while allowing interested people to communicate you or depart comments. Keeping up with the technologies that are certainly being employed in new media marketing is vitally important. (Tomes, 1994, pp. 10) Although most new media marketing advances will cost you some amount, it is far better to pay on an effective and current marketing design than one that will not measure up to the competition. For example, a creative media publicity or mail can cost you a lot more in the long run, and is unlikely to yield the outcomes you would see with a new medias crusade that allows you to target your buyers individually. (Elliot, 2004, pp. 17) New media permits for a far greater range of expression and opportunity than traditional, static media. It can present buyers with the possibility to take surveys so you can realise more about what they like and don't like, giving you the opportunity to fine-tune your marketing crusade to their interests. The more you learn about your consumers, the more effective your marketing will be.If you are unsure about an aspect of a future campaign, you can test it by sending it to only a few of your consumers at a time.
