Introduction

In today's fast pace of competition, the companies are required to carry out such management activities that ensure the overall success and profitability of the company. It has been found that the increase in competition makes certain things obsolete because the competition gives rise and promotes the changes in the consumers' trends and buying behaviours. The companies, in the highly competitive environment tend to develop and implement the changes in the customers' trends so as to achieve their ultimate targets and objectives of higher level of sales and profitability margins (Marilyn, A. S., John, D., 2007, pp. 63). The companies that sell the traditional products and services are found to be more suffering in the different industries. In order to cope up with the increasing competition and to retain the competitive position as well as the accurate level of sales and profit margins in the industry, the companies undertake various activities and campaign to keep the people and customers aware about their products (Robert, S. G., 2011, web source: http://www.salesandmarketing.com). The development of the campaigns requires the companies to give strong consideration to various essential aspects. These essential aspects involve the identification of the potential wine manufactures and the potential customers in the market. The implementation of the accurate level of technologies must also be considered by the companies because this has direct and indirect impact upon the overall effectiveness of the campaign (Simon, K., Adrian, P., et al., 2012, pp. 19). The companies are also requires to develop and implement the effective and efficient performance monitoring systems so as to measure the overall performance of the marketing and campaign activities (Bodo, B. S. (1998, pp. 98).

The English Wine Producers is one of the marketing companies in the United Kingdom that provides the marketing services to the well known wine manufacturing companies so as to assist the companies in increasing their sales and profitability margins. The English Wine Producers has initiated and activity campaign, English Wine Week, in which all the wine producing company will be invited to take part in the campaign in order to increase their level of sales. The English Wine Producers has found that there is still the demand of the traditional wines in the market but there are very few companies that are making and offering the traditional English wine at the large scale. This is so the reason the company has initiated the plan of campaign to boost the sales of the wine and to promote the companies among the customers and the traders. The company has set the targeted level of sales that is 50,000 bottles. The following section aims at discussing the measurement and budgeting aspects of the English Wine Week campaign that will allow us to know that what activities will be carried out and what activities will be allocated the budgeted amounts in order to carry out the campaign with great effectiveness.
