Serving the best fast food meals are McDonald's main motive to serve. Regarding any issues to time or environmental problems McDonalds have figured out solutions to social, economical, operational and financial issues so that customers can be served with better services and facilities.



McDonalds is one of the largest chains of hamburger in the fast food industry. Today, McDonalds is well known for fast food industry and an eco-friendly environment where it makes a good business sense. They have been maintaining a good environmental sustainability framework to deliver the best to their customers. Mc Donald's is an American company that has achieved lot of success and also left its original market (USA) to capture the world with its good quality (About McDonalds, 2013).

Basic Legal Environment

The basic legal environment of McDonalds consists of all the laws and regulations that have been implemented to prevent any unethical activity from occurring when free market cannot do so. The main laws affecting are the antitrust laws, environmental laws, public interest laws and consumer protection laws. McDonalds respect the rights of its employees as they comply with the employment laws implemented by The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Dunn, C., 2005).

Social Environment

McDonalds has worked out on improving its social environment by putting efforts and strides to enhance the social and environmental performance. They follow a code of conduct for ensuring safe and healthy work environment, fair compensations and working schedules for the employees. They provide great services as being the leader in social responsibility, they serve to gain positive feedback and impose a positive influence on people and the environment. They even donate to many charitable organizations to assist the victims and the relief workers (Dunn, C., 2005).

Economic Environment

McDonalds always believe in positive approach as they have set up more call centre's in order to serve and handle more orders worldwide. They have an optimistic approach in investing more over opening more restaurants and serve with better food and services. They even provide new opportunities for the public health advocates in improving the economic environment. They also apply rapid changes to modify their menus according to the economic changes (Dunn, C., 2005).

Management Structure

The management of the McDonalds consists of a chairman and a chief executive officer on the top of the hierarchy chart, with the chief operating officer. And below the top faculty is the marketing, branding, human resource, regional managers, strategic planners, finance managers, operation managers and corporate affairs department. Other than these are the security, customer services, franchising etc.

Operation Management

Operation management is refers to planning, scheduling and controlling the activities that help to convert input into finished goods. According to (Ganesharajah et.al, 1998) Major concerns of operation management are to make most efficient use of organization resources and aims to fulfill customer needs in an effective manner.
