The purpose of the research is to present a marketing plan for new internet retail Start-Up business specializing in the area of Outdoor camping and Hiking gear and accessories. This would be considered as a blueprint for a setup. In this paper, we have included a complete and thorough market analysis, SWOT analysis, target market and other relevant discussions.

The aim for our marketing plan consists of:

Using the internet marking expertise and social media to promote our brand

Creating an effective promotion plan that can attract strategic partners through which can build a solid partnership for cross-promotions across various levels.

Analyzing our strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats

Identifying our target (niche) market, forces involved in the market and what will be the promotional opportunities for us

Analyzing and hoping this marketing plan would be an effective and a long term plan for our business model.

Outdoor recreation activities are what thrives Americans (The Outdoor recreation economy, 2012); they spend their hard earned dollars chasing activities that provide them with physical activity and recreation outdoors. The spending can be divided into two forms; the first one is the booking of tours and the expenses related to it, and the other one is buying the gears and equipments that are required for it. There has been a huge stride in the innovation of the gears and equipments required for outdoor recreation (www.overstock.com). Most people have the idea that the goal of marketing is to produce high sales. Such a concept is wrong (Kotler, 2002). Higher sales are the ultimate goal for every organization and all come efforts support this goal.
