Today is the era of the latest technology and innovation. In this age, only those companies survive that are constantly thrive on innovative products and able to devise marketing policies and strategies that possess the capacity to attract customers and appeal to them in a powerful way. This report revolves around the same phenomenon of the development of a product and devising its marketing strategies. In order to discuss the functionality and features in this report the product that has been chosen is smoothie maker. This paper describes product development, functionality, features, marketing and promotional strategies of smoothie maker in the market of United States.

Product

To make the presence felt of your product it is imperative for an organization to devise a product that is new and innovative (US Market Monitor Co Ltd, pp. 2). Companies that do not indulge in the constant updating of their products they are often outclassed by their competitors. So this product should also be devised in an innovative way by adapting various methods of sustainability and the latest technology.

Nowadays, the most important thing about which consumers show their concern is the degradation of the environment (US Market Monitor Co Ltd, pp. 8). To show the environmental concern we would launch a green range of the smoothie maker by using materials in its manufacturing that can be recycled, and that can be manufactures with a process that is less harmful for the environment. We would design a safe, low impact and lean machine to make smoothies. This procedure would ensure that all the components to gain the element of energy efficiency should be there in the smoothie maker, component of standardization and recyclability should also present.

Manufacturing Material

For the jug of the smoothie maker, we would be using glass rather than plastic. So the jug of the smoothie maker would be made up of glass. A survey that was conducted from consumers revealed that almost 59 percent of the consumers consider glass as the material that is very environmental friendly. In United States, more than 75 percent of the consumers prefer that the various appliances that they use should be formed of glass material rather than any other material (US Market Monitor Co Ltd, pp. 10). Nearly same percentage of the people show the response that they believe that the usage of the glass in the packaging of juices, drinks and appliances like juicer, blinders and smoothie maker do not change the taste of the drink.
