Introduction

The London Underground or London Underground or  London Tube is still the metropolitan network serving the Greater London and surrounding areas of Essex , the Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire . This is the first subway in the world (1863) . It is commonly called Underground (which means underground, although 55% of the network is located on the surface) or Tube, in reference to the cylindrical shape of the tunnels of its lines deep (Waboso, 2010, pp. 42-45).

Discussion and Analysis

London Underground is the system of transportation serves a large part of Greater London and some neighboring areas. System is the oldest subway in the world, which is one of the longest-hand along the way. Services began in July 10th 1863 in the Metropolitan line train; most of it now is part of the Hammersmith and City line. Of the labels of local Underground, and is often colloquially called the Tube any pipe, referred back to the cylindrical shape of the deep tunnels of the system.

Historical Overview

The first part of the existing network to be built, is the Metropolitan Railway, which was traveling between Bishop's Road, (now Paddington station), and Farringdon Street (simply called station today Farringdon). This was the first urban subway. It was built with a dual gauge track - able to accommodate trains at the distance of 2.14 meters off Brunel and other trains to London to "normal way" (1.435 m).

The London Underground is well signposted and it is hard to miss. On the platform must watch carefully for the train that arrives is the one for us. Sometimes a line is branched and can reach the train does not go to the branch of interest. On the platform there are electronic signs indicating the destination of the arriving train and at the top of the locomotive is also shown.
